German footballer Lukas Podolski has announced he will end his professional career.
According to Oxu.Az, the press service of Polish club Gornik released the information.
It was stated that the match against Radomyak on May 23 will be Podolski's last game.
The 40-year-old has been playing for Gornik since 2021. During his career, he has played for clubs such as Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Inter, Galatasaray, Antalyaspor, and Vissel Kobe.
Podolski, who won the 2014 World Cup with the German national team, also earned bronze medals at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
