Recent reports in Turkish and local media suggested that Qarabag head coach Qurban Qurbanov is a candidate for the Beşiktaş manager position. However, Beşiktaş sporting director Önder Özen has denied these claims.
In a statement to Teleqraf, Özen said: 'We have no initiative or interest in Qurban Qurbanov. He is a valuable and successful specialist, but he is not on our agenda.'
Qurbanov has been coaching Qarabag since 2008.
