Rajab Farajzade, head coach of Azerbaijan's U-23 mini-football team, stated that his team is the clear favorite at the European Championship in Slovakia.
In an interview with Report, Farajzade evaluated the group stage performance: "The team proves its strength through its games. We expect victory against Kazakhstan".
He noted that in the match against Italy, the team played excellently and gave no chance to the opponent. The game against Austria was tough due to poor pitch quality.
"The ball got stuck in the grass, hindering our young and agile players. However, we performed well in other matches", the coach added.
Azerbaijan will face Kazakhstan in the Round of 16 tonight at midnight. The team topped Group F by defeating Austria (1-0), Italy (3-2) and France (3-2).
