"Zira" head coach Rashad Sadygov commented on the draw for the UEFA Conference League first qualifying round.
He noted that the team's preparations were initially focused on the new Premier League season, and the European participation came as a surprise.
Sadygov described opponent "Torpedo" as a very experienced team that regularly plays in European competitions, with quality local and foreign players.
"We respect the opponent. We will prepare seriously and hope to advance," he said.
