Real Madrid has officially announced an early presidential and board of directors election via its website. The election committee confirmed the process has begun.
Candidates can register from May 14 to May 23, 2026. If multiple candidates register, the exact voting date and location will be announced later. Postal voting rights will also be ensured.
Incumbent president Florentino Pérez had previously hinted at the election. He has held the position from 2000 to 2006 and continuously since 2009.
