Real Madrid defender and captain Daniel Carvajal is leaving the club, as announced by the club's press service.
The 34-year-old full-back's contract with the Madrid side was set to expire in the summer of 2026, but the parties have agreed to part ways.
The statement emphasizes: "Real Madrid expresses its best wishes to Daniel Carvajal and his family in this new stage of his life."
Carvajal is a product of Real Madrid's youth academy and has played for the first team since the summer of 2013. He became captain of the "Royal Club." This season, he has made 22 appearances in all competitions. Overall, he has played 450 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 14 goals.
