FIFA will investigate Australian referee Shaun Evans for allegedly making a racist gesture before the Germany vs. Curaçao match at the 2026 World Cup group stage.

Oxu.Az reports citing The Telegraph that the match took place on June 14, ending with Germany's 7-1 victory. Evans served as VAR.

During the pre-match live broadcast, the VAR room was shown, and Evans made a gesture resembling the inverted "OK" sign associated with the neo-Nazi "National-Socialism/White Power" movement.
