Russian producer Yana Rudkovskaya has officially confirmed that her son, figure skater Alexander Plyushchenko, has received an Azerbaijani passport.

According to Oxu.Az, Rudkovskaya told journalists: "Sasha Plyushchenko received a five-year Azerbaijani passport as his sports citizenship. Why five years? Because after five years, he will move from the junior to the senior category. This will happen in 2031. Sasha does not qualify for the 2030 Olympics because he is still too young."

Recall that on May 21, reports emerged about Alexander Plyushchenko changing his sports citizenship. He will represent Azerbaijan for five years.
