Azerbaijan's minifootball team will do everything to finish first at the European Championship in Slovakia. Team member Ruzigar Ibrahimzade said this in an interview.
After a 3-0 victory over Italy, he shared his thoughts: "I am playing in the European Championship for the first time and I am very happy. We won our second consecutive match and advanced to the next round. I also scored my first goal for the team. I am glad to contribute to the national team. I believe this is not our last victory. We will give our best to become champions."
Ibrahimzade noted that they played more comfortably compared to the first match: "We were more relaxed today than in the first game because we were not fully familiar with the field. The first match is always difficult, but then we can perform better."
He also touched on the upcoming match against France: "We never think about opponents. We intend to do our best at the highest level. We are focused on victory."
Recall that after beating Austria 1-0, our team will face France on May 30. Azerbaijan leads Group F with 6 points; France has 4, Italy has 1, and Austria is last with 0 points.
