Sabah extends contract with top scorer

Sabah FC extends contract with top scorer Joy-Lance Mickels for two years. Mickels is the club's all-time leading goalscorer.

Sabah extends contract with top scorer

Sabah FC has extended the contract of forward Joy-Lance Mickels.

According to Oxu.Az, the Masazir-based club announced the news.

The new agreement with the striker is for two years.

Mickels is Sabah's all-time top scorer. He has scored 72 goals in 139 appearances for the team.

The Rwandan international has won the Azerbaijan championship once and the national cup twice with Sabah. In the 2025/2026 Misli Premier League season, he scored 19 goals in 25 matches, becoming the league's top scorer.
