Sabail FC's new president Mirza Bayrampur announced the club will change its name. In an interview with AZERTAC, he said if the team moves to Quba city stadium, it will be called "Quba".
Bayrampur stated: "The financial situation is stable. We are working to form a strong squad. The main goal is to win the championship and get promoted to the Premier League."
He recalled earlier promoting "Shimal" from the Second League to the First League and working at "Shahdag Gusar" last season. At Sabail, the aim is to win the First League and directly qualify for the Premier League.
Elnur Abdullayev will serve as head coach. Two stadium options are being considered: ASCO Arena and Quba city stadium. Negotiations are in the final stage. If the move happens, the club will compete under the name "Quba".
