Spain national team's training session for the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Uruguay was unexpectedly halted. The reason was severe winds.
The training in Chattanooga, Tennessee was cut short after just 20 minutes. Players had to take shelter indoors.
Before the session, a warning of 130 km/h winds was sent to phones in the area. Despite this, school authorities allowed the training.
In the brief time, Rodri, Mikel Merino, and coach Luis de la Fuente were celebrated. However, heavy rain forced the team to continue indoors.
Spain will face Uruguay on June 27.
