Swimming final stage kicks off

Swimming for All project final stage launched in Baku. Athletes from Azerbaijan and Turkey compete.

The final stage of the "Swimming for All" project has kicked off, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation.

The opening ceremony at the Baku Water Sports Palace began with the National Anthem, followed by a minute of silence for martyrs.

Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gayibov, Federation President Zaur Aliyev, and other officials addressed the event. The competitions officially started.

Athletes from Azerbaijan and Turkey compete in the final. The Azerbaijani team represents Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran, Mingachevir, as well as Goranboy, Balakan, and Ismayilli districts.

On the first day, competitions took place in categories 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, and over 61 years. The final ends tomorrow.
