The first match of the third day at the FIFA World Cup 2026 has ended. In San Francisco, Group B saw Switzerland face Qatar, finishing 1-1.

Switzerland opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a penalty by Breel Embolo. Qatar equalized in the 90+4th minute through Boualem Koukhi.

In the same group, Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina also drew 1-1.
