Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has been denied a visa to enter Canada for the 2026 World Cup, meaning he will miss the tournament.
According to The Athletic, the 32-year-old will be absent from Ghana's opening match against Panama on June 18.
The decision was made by the Canadian government, whose official website states that entry may be denied to those convicted of crimes.
In July 2025, Partey was charged with several counts of rape by London police. He denies the allegations and awaits trial.
