Former UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria has been diagnosed with non-displaced fractures in both eye sockets after his fight against Justin Gaethje.
According to ABC, the fractures require no emergency surgery. Doctors recommend several months of rest, regular check-ups, and gradual return to training.
Topuria is not expected to return to the octagon before 2027.
The fight took place on June 15 in Washington, D.C., during the "UFC White House - Freedom 250" event, where Gaethje won by technical knockout.
