Turan Tovuz risks UEFA ban from Conference League due to 2019 match-fixing. Zirə may replace them.

"Turan Tovuz", who finished third in the Premier League and earned a spot in the Conference League, may lose that right. UEFA has sent an official letter banning the club from participation.

The club management has appealed to the court and even sought help from former AFFA general secretary Elkhan Mammadov, but without success.

The issue stems from 2019, when 7 players were banned for life for match manipulation. If the ban stands, "Zirə" (5th place) will replace "Turan Tovuz".
