Sabah FC has signed a new contract with Serbian midfielder Velko Simic for two years.

The club announced that Simic joined as a free agent, so no transfer fee was paid.

The 29-year-old had previously joined Sabah on loan from Turkey's Sivasspor. He scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 34 matches.

Simic helped Sabah win the Azerbaijan Cup and league title last season.
