WC 2026: France vs Iraq match suspended due to weather

The World Cup 2026 group stage match between France and Iraq has been temporarily suspended due to adverse weather conditions.

According to FIFA, the delay will last at least 30 minutes. Spectators were asked to leave the stands due to thunderstorm risk.

The match is being held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. After the first half, France leads 1-0, with Kylian Mbappé scoring the only goal.
