WC 2026: Tunisia coach sacked after first game

The head coach of the Tunisian national team, Sabri Lamouchi, has been dismissed after a heavy 1-5 defeat to Sweden in the first group stage match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Journalist Romain Molina reported the news.

This marks the first time in World Cup history that a national team coach has been sacked after just one group stage match.

Sweden and Tunisia are in Group F alongside the Netherlands and Japan.
