WC 2026: USA crushes Paraguay 4-1

In the first match of Group D at the 2026 World Cup, hosts USA faced Paraguay. The game ended with a dominant 4-1 victory for the USA.

The scoring opened in the 7th minute with an own goal by Bobadilla. F. Balogun then scored in the 31st minute and in the 5th minute of first-half stoppage time to extend the lead.

Paraguay pulled one back in the 73rd minute through Mauricio, but G. Reyna sealed the win in the 8th minute of added time, making it 4-1.
