Victor Wembanyama's NBA debut season trading card has sold for $5.11 million.

The San Antonio Spurs' French center's card set a record for the highest price ever paid for an unsigned trading card in NBA history.

It also ranks as the fourth most expensive NBA card sale of all time.

The card, from the 2023-24 Panini Prizm collection, is a one-of-a-kind print.

An anonymous buyer stated they paid the sum because they consider it Wembanyama's most valuable card and believe it will remain so for years.
