Azerbaijan's judo team achieved success at the Grand Prix tournament in Qingdao, China.

Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov won a bronze medal in the 81 kg category, defeating Egor Sukhoparov in the third-place match.

Zelim Tckayev claimed gold by defeating Austrian Bernd Fasching in the final. This marks his first Grand Prix gold medal.
