Luka Zidane, son of legendary French footballer Zinedine Zidane, has been called up to the Algeria national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Algerian Football Federation announced the 28-year-old goalkeeper's inclusion. Luka previously played for France's youth teams and received clearance to represent Algeria in 2025.
A Real Madrid youth product, he has played for Rayo Vallecano and Eibar in Spain, and currently stars for Granada.
His father Zinedine Zidane won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with France. He played for Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, and Real Madrid. As a coach, he led Real Madrid to three Champions League titles.
