Rafael Schwartzman, IATA's Regional Vice President for Europe, stated that Azerbaijan's aviation market is more mature compared to Central Asian countries.

He made these remarks at a press conference during IATA's 82nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS). Schwartzman noted that while Central Asia shows rapid growth, Azerbaijan has been developing for a longer period.

He also highlighted Kazakhstan's leadership in the region, but emphasized Azerbaijan's active role in international logistics during geopolitical crises, which boosted its cargo aviation.
