The 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku from May 17-22 boosted the capital's hospitality sector. Tens of thousands of participants from 176 countries visited Baku.

Samir Dubendi, chairman of the Azerbaijan Hotels and Restaurants Association, said occupancy in five-star hotels reached 96-100%. The price for one night ranged from 480 to 620 manats.

During the forum, Heydar Aliyev International Airport served over 194,000 passengers. Experts say WUF13 strengthened Azerbaijan's potential as a host for international events.
