AZAL, part of AZCON Holding, has added its first next-generation Airbus A321neo to the fleet. The aircraft was delivered at a ceremony in Hamburg on June 25.
With the new addition, AZAL now operates Airbus A319ceo, A320ceo, A320neo, and A321neo models.
The company stated that this is a key step in its fleet modernization strategy. The aircraft will boost capacity on high-demand routes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve service quality.
Featuring the "Airspace" cabin concept, the A321neo offers a spacious cabin, customizable lighting, large windows, LED lighting, and expanded overhead bins. Compared to previous models, it consumes 20% less fuel per seat and emits 20% less CO2, with a range of 7,400 km.
As one of the widest single-aisle cabins, the A321neo seats 191 passengers. It is equipped with the latest in-flight entertainment system and high-speed Wi-Fi.
AZAL plans to expand its fleet to 50 aircraft by 2032. By the end of this year, several more aircraft are expected to be delivered, bringing total new deliveries in 2026 to eight, marking the largest fleet renewal in AZAL's history.
