A 9-year-old boy, Odai Shanah, recounted hiding in a closet with classmates during a deadly shooting at a mosque complex in San Diego, saying he saw 'bad stuff' afterward.
The attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego left three men dead, including a security guard. Two teen suspects later took their own lives.
Odai said he heard gunshots and was ushered into a closet with other children. 'My legs were shaking and my hands and my head were like hurting a lot. I felt like a rock,' he said.
Police SWAT teams cleared the building, and all students were safe. Odai's mother fled Gaza in 2006; his father emigrated from Jordan in 2015.
