The CDC has expanded enhanced Ebola screening to include Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
This provides a second U.S. entry point for travelers returning from Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan.
Washington’s Dulles International Airport was designated earlier this week.
CDC’s approach includes overseas exit screening, airline illness reporting, and post-arrival public health monitoring.
WHO reports 82 confirmed Ebola cases in the DRC, with 7 confirmed deaths and 750 suspected cases.
The Trump administration banned non-citizens who recently traveled to the DRC, Uganda, or South Sudan from entering the U.S.
