U.S. arms sales to Taiwan have always been a cornerstone of regional peace and stability, said Taiwan Deputy Foreign Minister Chen Ming-chi.

He told reporters that Taiwan will continue to communicate with the U.S. on further arms sales.

President Donald Trump said Friday he hasn't decided on a major weapons sale to Taiwan, adding uncertainty.
