NATO's top commander Alexus Grynkewich stated that the US decision to withdraw an armored brigade of 5,000 troops from Europe will not undermine the alliance's defense plans.
Speaking in Brussels, Grynkewich emphasized that European allies and Canada are taking on more responsibility for conventional defense, backed by US capabilities.
He noted the US will adjust its presence to provide only critical capabilities that allies cannot yet provide, calling it an ongoing process.
