Iran will gradually open the Strait of Hormuz for shipping under a deal with the US.
According to "Washington Post" citing Iranian officials, in the first phase, the US will release $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets, and the strait will be cleared of mines.
The US and Iran have prepared a framework agreement including a 60-day ceasefire and the reopening of the strait.
Diplomatic sources say that once the deal is signed, Iran will immediately open the strait, with shipping returning to pre-war levels within 30 days.
