Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that Europe faces the risk of economic collapse due to protectionism. He emphasized that protectionism is destroying Europe.

According to Bloomberg, Vucic expressed disappointment with the European Union and noted that his country's ties with China are deepening.

"Amid complacency and low productivity, Europe is slowly moving toward economic decline. There are too many barriers hindering investment flows between Europe, China, and the US," Vucic said.

Vucic confirmed he will not run for president again after his term ends in 2027, but did not rule out seeking the position of prime minister. He still considers EU membership a key goal and calls on European politicians to take bold steps to continue the enlargement of the union.
