Rocket Lab Corporation (NASDAQ:RKLB) has successfully launched its ninth satellite for Synspective. The StriX satellite was deployed into a 572km low Earth orbit from Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand at 9:33 p.m. NZST.
The mission, named Viva La StriX, expands Synspective's synthetic aperture radar constellation, which provides Earth observation data. The Japan-based company operates an Earth observation satellite network.
Rocket Lab provided a custom fairing for the Electron rocket tailored to the StriX satellite's dimensions. The company stated this customization has contributed to maintaining a 100% mission success rate for StriX satellite deployments.
The launch marks Rocket Lab's 88th mission. Synspective has booked 18 additional launches with Rocket Lab, making the company its sole launch provider.
This successful deployment comes as Rocket Lab's stock has surged 386% over the past year, trading at $125.45 with a market capitalization of $72 billion. Bond.az highlights that analysts anticipate sales growth in the current year, with revenue expected to grow 52%.
Rocket Lab operates the Electron rocket for small satellite launches and is developing a medium-lift vehicle called Neutron. The company also manufactures spacecraft and satellite components.
