SpaceX, the company owned by Elon Musk, saw its market capitalization rise by over 10% at the opening of trading on Tuesday.
According to Oxu.Az, the company's market value is now approximately $2.8 trillion.
With this, SpaceX climbed to fifth place on the list of the world's most valuable companies, overtaking Amazon.
SpaceX conducted its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq technology exchange on June 12. The company sold a total of 555.6 million common shares at $135 each. At the start of trading, the company's market value was estimated at $1.77 trillion.
Two days later, the price of SpaceX shares rose to $199.15.
It is noted that after SpaceX's IPO, Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire.
