Disputes over property seizure in criminal cases will no longer be handled through civil proceedings but through judicial review.
The proposed amendment to the Criminal Procedure Code introduces this change. It protects the rights of individuals who are not accused but are affected by property seizure.
These individuals will be included in the criminal process as persons whose legal interests are affected, granting them the right to file appeals and cassation complaints.
Judicial review is faster and more flexible than civil proceedings. It also prevents disputes over the prejudicial effect of court decisions.
