US President Donald Trump has stated that part of Iran's frozen assets will be used to purchase food products from the United States, according to TASS.

Speaking to journalists at the White House, Trump said: "The frozen funds will be spent on buying food products, and those products will be purchased only from the United States, from our farmers." He specifically mentioned corn and soybeans.

Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance announced that Qatar would support the creation of a mechanism to monitor the use of Iran's frozen assets.
