Recently, the Zangezur corridor and TRIPP project have resurfaced in Iran. The pause in the US-Iran war and elections in Armenia have prompted Iranian officials to speak on the issue.
According to Oxu.Az, the "Azad Iran" YouTube channel covered this topic in a video.
Believing it has won the war against the US and Israel, Iran is asserting its regional claims more sharply. Former ambassador Abbas Musavi repeated old claims about the Zangezur corridor in an interview with SNN agency.
"The Caucasus is our home, separated only 200 years ago. We are more sensitive to events in the Caucasus than Turkey or Russia," he stated.
The question is: are these claims tenable? Do they serve neighborly relations?
