Today is the birthday of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
She was born on July 3, 1985.
Leyla Aliyeva is the initiator of the "Justice for Khojaly" campaign, FAO Goodwill Ambassador, Chief Coordinator for Intercultural Dialogue of the OIC Youth Forum, Chairperson of AMOR, and founder and Chairperson of IDEA.
From 1989 to 2000, she studied at School No. 160 in Baku. In 2000, she entered the European Business School. She completed her master's degree at MGIMO in 2006-2008.
Since 2007, she has headed the Russian representative office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and since 2011, she has been its Vice-President.
She provides assistance to those in need, implementing projects for children, the elderly, and refugee families. She actively participates in education, healthcare, sports, and culture.
She turned AMOR into an influential youth organization in Russia. She founded the magazine "Baku".
Through the "Justice for Khojaly" campaign, she spreads the truth about the Khojaly genocide worldwide.
She has been awarded: "Progress" Medal (2011), "Key to Life" award, Astrakhan Medal (2012), Ecology award (2013), Order of Princess Olga III class, FAO Ambassador title (2015), Pushkin Medal, and MGIMO Medal (2016).
She is also a poet and painter. She was the executive producer of "Ali and Nino" and headed the project "Baku, I Love You".
