The Agrarian Insurance Fund (AIF) has officially appealed to farmers regarding the recent surge in wild animal attacks.
According to the Fund, wolves and other wild animals have been attacking farms across various regions of the country, killing livestock. These incidents, especially frequent in winter and spring, cause significant financial damage.
AIF reminds farmers of the state-supported agricultural insurance mechanism, which covers crop, fish, and livestock farms against various risks, including wild animal attacks.
With 50% of the insurance premium covered by the state, farmers can insure their animals at a minimal cost. For example, annual insurance for a sheep worth 300 manats costs only 7-11 manats, while for cattle worth 1000 manats, it's 24-39 manats.
Since its inception, the Fund has paid out 3.5 million manats in livestock insurance claims, with 230,000 manats compensated in the first four months of this year alone. AIF encourages farmers to take advantage of this affordable opportunity.
