Residents of the Yeni Yasamal residential complex are unhappy with the noise and vibration caused by main water pipelines near their building.
A complaint to Oxu.Az states that two main water pipelines run just ten meters from a 16-story building. “The strong noise and vibration from the pipes make daily life difficult. At night, the noise is more noticeable, making it impossible to rest properly,” the complaint says.
The United Water Supply Service of Large Cities reported that air release valves on 500 mm and 800 mm diameter external circular main water pipelines are installed at the highest points and operate twice daily for 15-20 minutes. Removing them could cause airlocks and disrupt water supply.
