Writers write, translators translate, publishers publish. But these parties have always been dissatisfied with each other.
Publishers complain about writers' laziness and poor translations. Authors accuse publishers of underpayment.
Famous publisher Rafik Ismayilov says: "The contract includes all terms. But royalties are low and sometimes not paid."
Translator Nariman Abdurrahmanli demands a law: "A law on publishing activities is needed."
Literary critic Asad Jahangir emphasizes: "There is a moral code; if you employ someone, pay them."
Secretary of Writers' Union Salim Babullaoglu says they have no right to act as arbitrators.
