Italy's Ferrari team has become the first in Formula 1 history to exceed an annual budget of 100 million euros for driver salaries.
According to Dutch publication RacingNews365, this record was achieved after extending Charles Leclerc's contract. While Ferrari does not officially disclose financial details, reports indicate Leclerc's salary has increased from 34 million to 50 million euros per year.
Combined with Lewis Hamilton’s 60 million euros, the total driver payments surpass 100 million euros. In comparison, Red Bull Racing spends 75 million euros on driver salaries, with Max Verstappen accounting for 70 million euros.
