Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has expressed hope that relations with the United States will return to normal.

According to Oxu.Az, this was reported by RIA Novosti.

Speaking at a forum for the newspaper "Verità", Meloni said she does not intend to continue the conflict with US President Donald Trump.

Recall that the scandal erupted after Trump claimed in an interview with an Italian TV channel that Meloni "begged" him for a joint photo at the G7 summit and he agreed out of pity.

Meloni later denied these words. In response, Trump said Meloni would not be able to "make friends" with the US again to boost her ratings.
