UEFA will not enforce the rule that would send off a player who covers their mouth with their hand, shoulder, or jersey during a conflict situation.
According to Oxu.Az, this was reported by "The Athletic".
Recall that before the World Cup, FIFA made several changes to the rules. Under the new rules, any player covering their mouth with their hand, shoulder, or jersey during a contentious episode could receive a direct red card. Such behavior is considered an attempt to hide the content of the conversation from television cameras.
It is worth noting that Paraguay national team player Miguel Almirón was the first player sent off under this rule. He received a red card in the second round of the group stage of the World Cup against the Turkish national team, which ended with a 1-0 victory for his team.
