Canada's national meteorological service said that temperatures in Toronto are expected to exceed 35 degrees Celsius on July 2. The World Cup match broadcasts were planned for the city's main square, which is also the intersection of two major downtown streets and houses city hall buildings.
Recall that the World Cup, hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico, will conclude on July 19. For the first time in history, 48 national teams are competing in this tournament. Matches in Canada are held in Toronto and Vancouver. On July 2, the Round of 16 matches will feature Portugal vs Croatia, Spain vs Austria, and Switzerland vs Algeria.
