The United States has imposed temporary travel restrictions to reduce the risk of Ebola spread. The CDC order suspends entry of travelers who have been in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan in the past 21 days.
The restrictions, effective for 30 days, exempt U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and military personnel. The CDC says the immediate risk to the U.S. public is low but will monitor the situation closely.
