Azerbaijan and Russia have discussed synchronizing the infrastructure capabilities of their border crossing points.
According to Oxu.Az, the State Customs Committee (SCC) released a statement.
The discussions took place during a meeting between delegations led by Chairman of the SCC, Colonel-General of the Customs Service Shahin Baghirov, and Head of the Russian Customs Service Valery Pikalyov.
The parties also exchanged views on speeding up cargo transit during certain seasonal periods and eliminating congestion that may occur during the passage of freight vehicles.
Within the framework of the meeting, the delegations familiarized themselves on site with the existing infrastructure, technical equipment, throughput capacity and current activities of the "Yarag-Kazmalar" and "Tahir-Kand-Kazmalar" customs checkpoints of the North Caucasus Customs Administration of the Russian Customs Service.
During the meeting, the current state of cooperation was discussed and prospective directions were identified.
