A man in the UK spent seven years undergoing treatment for a terminal cancer he never had.
According to Oxu.az, this information was reported by BBC News.
A misdiagnosis was given to Simon Pearson in 2018.
Medical staff told Pearson he had a rare type of blood cancer that could later be passed on to his sons. Over the years, the patient underwent dozens of procedures, but in 2025 he learned the diagnosis was wrong.
Hospital management apologized to the family, confirming they are investigating what went wrong and have taken steps to prevent such an incident from recurring.
