Singapore government unveils a massive redevelopment plan to merge Sentosa and Pulau Brani islands.
The project, called "Greater Sentosa," will create a giant tourism zone.
It aims to attract 32 million tourists annually - double the current number.
Plans include a hiking trail to Mount Imbiah's peak, with restaurants, shops, and a viewing platform named "Imbiah Canopy."
Additionally, a transport hub will connect the islands, new attractions will be built, and beaches will be revamped. Some projects are expected to open by the early 2030s.
Singapore, which has been expanding through land reclamation, saw its land area grow from 581 km² in the 1960s to 736.3 km² by June 2025.
The goal is to enhance Sentosa's appeal as a global island resort. Currently, it houses a casino, Universal Studios theme park, and Siloso Beach.
